Perform complex project management activities while overseeing the construction and redesign of Jefferson County Public Library (JCPL) facilities and construction projects.
Be an active member of the Facilities and Construction Team and our internal subject matter expert/consultant on facility and construction projects.
Manage project development, plan review, development of construction timetables, cost estimation, final project billing and conformance to construction standards.
Be our point person who oversees contractors providing construction services to existing or new library facilities.
Prepare detailed project activity scheduling utilizing workforce, equipment and materials, based on needs relative to budgetary limitations for multiple projects in a cost efficient and timely manner.
Be our construction liaison to client organizations.
Conduct hazard assessment and ensure safety of project site.
Manage infrastructure of construction projects by participating in project development and plan review.
Participate in the development of the annual budget for library facilities and construction and manage procurement of all project vendors and materials.
Team with the Facilities Operations Manager to coordinate facilities related tasks in construction projects.
Report to the Director of Facilities and Construction.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience required.
Construction management certification required or obtained within 1 year of hire.
Minimum of 3 years work experience in construction project management required.
Degree in civil engineering/construction project management highly desirable.
Computer and technology skills appropriate for the position.
Advanced reading skills and intermediate writing and math skills required.
Valid Colorado drivers license required.
Must be available to work days, some evenings and weekends, and holidays as required.
Offer of employment contingent on criminal history check, education verification and Motor Vehicle Record check.
Additional Salary Information: Full salary range of position $58,311.71 - $90,383.15.
