A. Harold and Associates, LLC (AHA) is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager/Superintendent to oversee the renovation of a multi-story, 10,000+ square foot office building in a busy urban environment. We are looking for a candidate who is hands on and will make the project their own by taking full control of the field operations. This includes running the schedule, pushing the project team, coordinating subcontractors, and constructing a quality building on time and under budget.
The ideal candidate will need to be comfortable working with and managing workers across diverse disciplines and skill sets to build a cohesive, effective team. A candidate that has lived or worked on construction projects overseas in Third World countries is a plus.
Specific Duties/Job Requirements
Oversee schedule, budget, man power, equipment, and resources.
Follow building plans and specifications.
Maintain and interpret construction drawings.
Communicate between the ownership team and the field team to ensure that any conflicts between the two groups are settled.
Ensure the project complies with all building codes and other requirements.
Maintain high quality standards and be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment.
Be responsible for obtaining permitting and licensing from the local government entities.
Ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
10+ years' experience managing multi-million dollar commercial, light industrial projects
Minimum of a High School diploma
Experience working on projects that require significant power, HVAC, and water systems upgrades
Capable of overseeing construction issues for which individual is not specifically certified
Strong written and oral communication skills and proficient with computers and software
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field such as Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering is preferred
