Alameda County General Services Agency is seeking a strong, innovative, and strategic leader to plan, organize, coordinate and direct the operations of the Capital Programs Division. This position is responsible for design, engineering, architectural, and construction services for all County buildings and building systems.
The ideal candidate will provide cost effective and timely management of capital program services and will foster a collaborative and teamwork environment with the ability to lead change.
Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, accounting, finance, marketing, economics, or in a related field
8 years professional-level supervisory and administrative experience, including budget preparation, program management, and directing the design, construction, installation, or maintenance of a large variety of commercial and institutional facilities involving energy efficiency equipment, multi-faceted environmental risk assessment, or complex remediation issues; or 5 years of experience in the class of Design and Construction Manager, Medical Facilities Development Program Manager, Sustainability Program Manager, Energy Program Manager or Environmental Program Manager in Alameda County
Certification as a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of California in either Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Structural Engineering; or
Certification as a Registered Architect in the State of California; or
Certification as a Registered Environmental Assessor in the State of California; or
Master’s degree and 8 years of design and construction project management experience.
