Heery International is seeking a talented Assistant Project Manager to support Senior Construction Manager with our client's new High School construction project in Seattle, WA.
The Assistant Project Manager will handle project documentation and will coordinate documentation revisions and releases, assist overseeing the general contractor, assist in reviewing change order proposals and reporting to communicate project status, trends and history, updates schedules, manages websites and databases for project team, collects issues, lessons learned and risks and conducts follow-up, may prepare estimates of project costs, overruns or change orders. Monitor daily construction activities and resolve project issues. Assist coordinating of owner furniture and equipment and move-in.
3-10 years of experience in supporting a Project Manager or Construction Manager on managing the design to closeout of ground up, public institutional or commercial construction programs.
A Bachelors Degree in construction management, architecture or engineering is required.
Previous experience in the trades, working in capital facilities management, or working for a general/sub contractor is preferred.
Must have strong written, interpersonal and presentation skills.
Ability to interface with all levels within a client and internally is required.
Ability to take and produce meeting minutes.
Understanding of project documention and process such as change orders is preferred.
Outstanding organizational and computer skills.
LEED, CCM, PMP, or other credentials (or working toward credentials) preferred.
